Goals of the Fire Museum
Network
• To provide a means of networking
among fire museums through meetings,
publications, and Internet activity.
• To educate fire museum professionals and
others interested in fire service history and
museum procedures through an annual Fire Museum
Seminar.
• To provide a professional organization to
act as liaison between the fire museum community
and other organizations and individuals.
• To promote fire museums and the history
of firefighting among the fire service community
and the general public.
• To seek funding to establish a "Fire
Museum Grant Program".
• To organize a lending and research
library.
